Miles B. Berger, a Charleston, West Virginia native, is an Associate with Romano & Associates, PLLC. His areas of practice and emphasis include business and commercial law, construction and lien disputes and litigation, debt resolution issues, corporate and transactional law, real property and easement law, labor and employment law and personal injury litigation. Miles has brought a wide range of positive resolutions to disputes in all of the above areas of practice and has assisted in negotiating millions of dollars in settlement and resolution monies for his clients.

Miles represents individuals, businesses and other corporate interests throughout the State of West Virginia and is admitted to practice before each and every Circuit Court in the State of West Virginia as well as before the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia and the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia. Miles enjoys litigating cases both large and small and bringing about positive resolutions for his clients. Miles is passionate about his work and believes that through hard work and thoughtful representation, attorneys are able to provide their clients with a positive legal experience and achieve favorable outcomes. Miles successfully incorporates these beliefs into his day to day practice.

Miles attended undergraduate school at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, graduating, with honors, in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and minors in Sociology and Botany/Plant Physiology. Miles then attended the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University and received a Master of Arts degree, in History, in 2005. Miles’ Master’s thesis, “A West Virginia Family in World War II” explores the correspondences between a West Virginia family (Miles’ maternal grandfather, maternal great-aunt and maternal great grandmother) throughout World War II, including their letters to and from the theaters of war and home and includes a detailed overview of the Women’s Army Corps. Following completion of graduate school, Miles was a high school teacher and anesthesiology technician before enrolling in the West Virginia University College of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor degree in 2012. During law school, Miles was a member of the West Virginia University College of Law General Practice Legal Clinic, where he provided legal services to indigent West Virginians free of charge; while working in the Clinic, Miles served as a guardian ad litem and helped to resolve both business and family law disputes.

Before beginning work at Romano & Associates, PLLC, Miles worked for a boutique law firm in Morgantown, West Virginia and developed practice exposure to criminal, family and civil law. In his spare time, Miles enjoys live sporting events, tennis, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
